Open for Registration: O level History Elective Content Intensive starting 17 June 2024

Hi Reader,

Hope you're having a good weekend :)

This is a quick update for parents of teens taking the upcoming O levels, specifically History Elective.
As you may know by now, our flagship Sec 4 Social Studies & History Elective small group online coaching programme is full, and it doesn't look like any seats will be freed up until the O level exams for students on the growing waitlist.

Thus, our team got together to create the Sec 4E/5N History Elective Content Intensive, starting on 17 June 2024, to offer support to students who are unable to get a seat in our small group classes.

We aim to help students who feel lost about History Elective to understand important topics and apply the content to Structured Essay Questions (SEQs), which comprise 40% of the History Elective marks.

It will feature:

  • A series of 10 LIVE online lectures on the HOT topics that are likely to appear in the 2024 O level History Elective exam
  • All lectures will be recorded and uploaded to the course area, to allow your child to replay and review the topics as many times as they need
  • A collection of SEQ Practices with suggested answer schemes (which we will also walk through during the live lectures)
  • A Mock Preliminary Exam Paper
  • Q&A support from myself and my colleague Mr Paul Ho until 15 Oct 2024, so that your child never gets stuck
  • One of the live lectures will be an Exam Strategy session with me, where I teach students how they can tackle the O level paper effectively, so your child can finally complete it comfortably within the time limit while minimising exam stress and anxiety.

If your teen is already in our Sec 4 Social Studies & History Elective online coaching programme, you're entitled to 30% off. Reply to this email with your child's name and I'll send over your exclusive discount code.

Lastly, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask away by replying to this email.

Hi Reader, Hope you're having a good start to a brand new week :) If not, please do give yourself some time in your day to grab a cuppa and take a few deep breaths to reset... It's been tough recently. My dad was hospitalised and got so ill that his doctors thought that we might lose him over the National Day weekend. Thankfully, he pulled through. I'm so thankful that Dad is still around and we get to spend a little more time with him. I'm not sure if you can relate, but life as a...

Hi Reader, Many students have doubts about Geography that they may not verbalise, like... What should I expect for my Geography exam? How am I marked? Do I actually need to remember everything in the textbook? Why should I pay attention to Lower Sec Geography when I'm not sure if I would choose it as my O level Humanities subject? What Humanities subject(s) should I choose when I submit my choices in the Subject Option Exercise at the end of Sec 2? (For Upper Sec students experiencing...
